Information and References
Please note to those who are not my former students or clients, the books that my handouts refer to are the following (in case you want to follow along):
Mathematics
Calculus Early Transcendentals by James Stewart
Calculus Early Transcendental Functions by Ron Larson and Bruce Edwards
Precalculus: Understanding Functions, A Graphing Approach by Arthur Goodman and Lewis Hirsch
The Pharmacy Technician: A Comprehensive Approach by Jahangir Moini (Section III: Chapters 14-16)
Math for Pharmacy Technicians by Lorraine C. Zentz
Chemistry
Organic Chemistry with Biological Applications by John McMurry
Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry by John McMurry and Eric Simanek
Biochemistry by Reginald Garrett and Charles Grisham
Fundamentals of General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry by John McMurry, Mary Castellion, and David Ballantine (for the elementary organic chemistry and biochemistry)
Medical Law and Ethics
Medical Law and Ethics by Bonnie Fremgen
These are all wonderful textbooks in case you want to follow along. As I told my students and clients, the older editions are just as good. I usually will let them know if a new edition has substantially new information and breakthroughs. Otherwise the information is more or less the same. I doubt the Chain Rule in mathematics or Markovnikov's Rule in organic chemistry will change any time soon!
Special thanks to the authors and their publishers for their work. Unless otherwise stated, diagrams for mathematics handouts are created using LaTeX and a few graphs are from Desmos.
