For the Pursuit of Science
The science field has become so diverse and intricate as new discoveries and developments pop up every year. Many people studying the sciences go on to pursue work in research, further their education, and find ways to intersect the science field with another one of their related interests. Medical illustration intersects art and design with a field such as anatomy. Business majors combine their financial and management knowledge to work with scientists and engineers to jump start a medical technology business. Others go on to become doctors, nurses, physical therapists...the list goes on.
Whether your interests and goals lie within the scientific field or you are just curious about a scientific topic, you will always learn something new. You might not need to know the complex structure of DNA or delve into the pharmacokinetics of ibuprofen, but learning new things such as how to interpret a reading from a blood glucose meter or knowing why you have to take a specific medication for condition can be beneficial to improving the quality of your life.
Regardless of your field, we are all exposed to law, ethics, immunology (we all get sick some time in our life, right?), and other scientific concepts and processes. This section will highlight the life sciences and provide you with information on topics such as medical law and ethics, literacy, nutrition, and physiology.
